The Coyotes Amateur Hockey Association would like to announce some exciting new transactions with the United States Hockey League draft process this week.

On Monday, USHL teams initiated their Phase I Futures selections for 2004 birth-year players only.

In the 1st round, the Chicago Steel opted to use one of their tenders to pre-select standout defenceman Jake Livanavage of the Coyotes 15O AAA team. Brasen Boser was next hailing from the same 15O team, when the Fargo Force selected him in the 7th round.

The next day the USHL executed their Phase II draft for all eligible birthyears. Each organization made numerous picks from youth hockey players and current skaters from rival junior leagues. The day-long draft eventually plucked our current 16U Coyotes skater Logan Morell ('03) who was selected by Cedar Rapids in the 8th round. The Jr. Coyotes also had a handful of program alumni chosen including Trevor Griebel (01) of the BCHL’s Wenatchee Wild going to Fargo in the 2nd round. Recently departed Jr. Coyote Sam Deckhut (02) was next with Fargo’s 8th round selection, while Garrett Wright (01) of the WHL Regina Pats was called by Omaha.

Our entire organization would like to congratulate these current and former players on their recognition of being selected and wish continued success in the future!
