The Coyotes Amateur Hockey Association is very proud of our track record of helping our athletes continue to pursue their hockey dreams across North America. Our younger teams and players at every level continue to focus on development, teamwork, sportsmanship while having fun improving their skills.

Many of the older Midget-aged skaters in our program have more specific goals and destinations that can transport them to junior hockey around the US and Canada. Our Jr. Coyotes Tier I program is excited to announce that no less than 10 players from last season have moved onto high level junior hockey this winter.  

The Western Hockey League (W.H.L) continues to develop many future NHL players and landed a pair of Jr. Coyotes off the 16UAAA team that won the RMD tournament last spring. Hudson Bjornson  has played a strong first portion of the season for the Victoria Royals, while Drew Peterson  continues to develop playing for the first place Prince George Cougars in northern BC.

The Vernon Vipers of the BCHL in Canada were very pleased to add Carson McGinley to their roster over Christmas after he suffered an early season injury and is just now returning to action. The British Columbia Hockey League became the new home for Ryan DeAngelis who landed with the highly competitive Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

The North American Hockey League reached out and signed a few high level players from last year with Jackson Lackas in Chippewa Falls, WI, Simon Nealy in Fairbanks, Alaska with Chris Graves and Duncan Shin  out in Colorado for the Grit.

Over in Manitoba Canada, the Neepawa Titans were pleased to find 6’5” standout defenseman John Baird off the Midget 18U Coyotes last season and have asked him to take a large role as a rookie. . Michael Schwartz found a home this summer in the NCDC with the Utah Outliers where he will continue to hone his skills with an eye on moving upwards next year.

Each season the Jr. Coyotes help develop and promote players beyond youth hockey to the junior hockey stage where they will search for their next step upwards in the hockey ladder.
