Jr. Coyotes 14U Tier II Team Goes Undefeated at USA Hockey National Tournament

The Jr. Coyotes 14U Tier II team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination as they played undefeated at the USA Hockey National Tournament in Amherst, NY earlier this month. The team's stellar performance earned them the champion title after an intense series of six victories.

The tournament began with a strong start for the Coyotes as they faced off against the Montana Wolves (MT) in their first game. The Coyotes set the tone for the tournament with a commanding 6-1 victory. In their second game, the team continued their winning streak against the Montgomery Ice Devils (MD) with an impressive 9-5 victory.

The Coyotes third game saw them pitted against the New Hampshire Selects (NH), where they maintained their dominance with a 6-2 win. Moving into the quarterfinals, the Coyotes faced a close contest against the New Canaan Winter Club (CT). The intense match extended into a shootout, where the Coyotes secured a 3-2 victory.

The semi-final game saw the Coyotes match up against the Wissahickon Warriors from Pennsylvania. The Coyotes delivered a strong performance, advancing to the final game with a 6-2 victory.

The championship game on Sunday proved to be the most challenging match yet. The Coyotes faced the Raleigh Raptors, who forced the game into an overtime period. With the championship on the line, Atreyu Wesley emerged as the hero of the game, scoring the game-winning goal with assists from Caden Esquibel and Samson Koch.
