We are excited to officially welcome Scott Munroe as the new Jr. Coyotes Director of Goaltending!

Scott was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, where his hockey journey began with the Notre Dame Hounds in the SJHL. He went on to earn an NCAA Division I scholarship to the University of Alabama–Huntsville, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Following his collegiate success, Scott signed a free-agent contract with the Philadelphia Flyers and embarked on a nine-year professional playing career, which included time in the AHL as well as two seasons overseas in Russia and Sweden.

After retiring from playing, Scott transitioned into coaching — first with the Moncton Wildcats of the Canadian Hockey League and later with the Trinity College Bantams (NCAA Division III).

In 2019, Scott relocated from Connecticut to Scottsdale, where he now lives with his wife Jade and their son Jack. Over the past seven years, he has served as Hockey Director for CDP Chandler, while Jack continues to develop as a goaltender within the Jr. Coyotes program.

Kristy Aguirre, President of the Coyotes Amateur Hockey Association, shared:

“With Scott officially joining the staff, the Jr. Coyotes will gain a much-needed focus and attention to our goaltenders. We know that with Scott’s background, playing experience, and deep understanding of Arizona hockey, the sky is the limit for our netminders moving forward.”

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Scott Munroe, our new Jr. Coyotes Director of Goaltending!
